Having proved their worth, the professionals who make it through to the Semi Finals and Finals will cook to a variety of briefs set by the MasterChef judges and guests, including chef Jean-Pierre Blondet.
The four best performers then face an intimidating round of cooking for the UK’s most discerning food critics.įor this year’s series that will include: Jimi Famurewa, Tracey MacLeod, William Sitwell, Grace Dent, Tom Parker Bowles and Jay Rayner. In the Quarter Final, their first round will be an invention test with a twist and judges Marcus and Monica will select an ingredient on which the professionals must base their dish. They will be required to take on the challenge of the infamous skills test and then produce a signature menu of two courses within an hour and 30 minutes.
